For this project I was prompted to look at how curated archives and collections can be used to create meaning.

The initial archive that I compiled consisted of images of traditional performances, patterns and textiles, Christian icons and jewelry that have inspired the intricacies of the costumes dancers wear during their performances. The styles of traditional folk dances are focused on circular motion that embody graceful and sinuous in movement, line, or figure. The final medium I chose to make a small book that is to be worn around the wrist, embodying the fluid movements of the wearer.

Typefaces include Gotham by Hoefler & Co., and Adobe Caslon Pro by Adobe Originals. This book is hand-bound and printed on 100lb text Legion Bamboo paper, 90% Bamboo, 10% Cotton.
